Just wondered if there was a anime series out there for the video game series Phantasy Star and sadly the answer was no. On the up note tho I did find a series that was a "sort of pre-prequel to PSO (Phantasy Star Online)" as put by users "zandor117" and "Diet Ebola Cola" of SEGA Forum. The series is called "Red Photon Zillion" and came out in Japan in 1987. Supposedly they released 5 episodes (of the 31 episode Japanese series) and one OVA (Original Video Animation) on VHS dubbed in English from Streamline Pictures. I was around at the time but don't remember this coming out. I do remember Robotech (The Super Dimension Fortress Macross) that Carl Macek of Harmony Gold USA and also co-founder of Streamline Pictures brought down tho. I cringe at the idea of watching the OVA in an English dub but as of now that's all you can find out there (supplied by [ARR]) . The rest of the TV series tho has been fansubbed by fansub groups [A-Classic] and [Bubby-Subs]. I'm downloading it now and you should too!
